Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective 26 August 2026 · Last updated 26 August 2026

This policy explains when you can cancel a Wanees subscription, when we give your money back, and how to ask. It forms part of our Terms of Service. We've tried to write it the way we'd want to read it — no small print doing the real work.

The short version. Every account starts with a 7-day free trial and you're charged nothing during it. You can cancel any time, in two taps, from inside the app. If you change your mind after your first payment, tell us within 14 days and we'll refund it in full.

1. The free trial

Wanees opens with a 7-day free trial. You aren't charged during the trial. If you cancel before it ends, no payment is ever taken and there is nothing to refund. If you don't cancel, the subscription you chose starts at the end of the trial and your first payment is taken then.

2. Cancelling

You can cancel whenever you like — you don't need a reason and you don't need to ask us first. Open the app, go to Profile → Subscription, and choose to cancel.

Cancelling stops the next payment. It doesn't cut you off on the spot: you keep full access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and after that your account drops to read-only. Your pets, walks, photos and records stay where they are — cancelling a subscription never deletes your data. You can come back and pick up where you left off.

3. Refunds on your first payment

If you decide within 14 days of your first paid charge that Wanees isn't for you, email us and we'll refund that payment in full. You don't have to justify it. This sits on top of the free trial, so in practice you have three weeks to make up your mind.

4. Refunds on renewals

Renewals — the second payment and every one after it — aren't refunded automatically, because you're told before each one and can cancel at any point in between. What you can always do is cancel, and keep the access you've paid for until that period ends.

That said, we're people. If a renewal caught you out — you meant to cancel, you were away, the card belongs to someone who didn't know about it — write to us and tell us what happened. We'd rather sort it out than keep money from someone who doesn't want the app.

5. When we'll refund you regardless

In those cases the fix is ours to make, and there's no time limit on asking.

6. If you bought through the App Store

Subscriptions bought inside the iOS app are sold and billed by Apple, not by us, and Apple handles those refunds under its own terms. We can't issue them and we can't see your payment details. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com, and manage or cancel the subscription in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device. If Apple turns you down and you think that's wrong, still write to us — we'll do what we can.

7. If you bought on the web

Subscriptions bought on our website are handled by our payment provider Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd), which acts as the Merchant of Record. Paddle appears on your statement, issues your invoice, and processes the refund when we approve one. We never see or store your card details. Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with — we can't send them somewhere else.

8. Your rights where you live

Nothing here takes away a right the law gives you. If the consumer law of your country entitles you to more than this policy offers — a longer cooling-off period, a statutory right to cancel, anything else — that law wins and we'll honour it. In the EU and UK in particular you have a 14-day right to cancel a digital service, which is the window we've written above.

9. How to ask

Email support@wanees.app from the address on your account and tell us what you'd like refunded. That's the whole process — no form, no cancellation queue, no offer to keep you.

We answer within 2 business days. Once a refund is approved, the money leaves us the same day and typically lands back on your card in 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank. Your invoice and any refund confirmation come from Paddle.

10. Abuse

We may decline a refund where an account has been used to claim refunds repeatedly, or where the account broke our Terms of Service. This isn't a way to say no to ordinary requests — it's here for the rare case where someone is taking the mickey.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. The version in force is the one published on the day you were charged — a later change never applies backwards to a payment you've already made.

12. Contact

Questions about a payment, a cancellation, or this policy? Email support@wanees.app. A real person reads it.
